Alfonso Celenza was born February 18, 1970. He earned a Masters Degree in Art (Maestro di Arte) in 1989 from the State Art Institute of Florence (Istituto Statale D’Art di Firenze).
He then studied under the renowned Art Professor, Master Tiziani Bonanni learning various painting techniques including “Ancient Painting Techniques” enabling him to accurately reproduce the works of the Great Masters.
In 1997, Alfonso won 1st Prize in the prestigious “St. Bartolo Competition”.
In 1998, he won 1st Prize in “The Young Artist Division” of a National Competition as well as “The Caruso Prize”.
Alfonso Celenza’s work has been shown in some of the most famous national galleries of art earning “appreciations” and “acknowledgements”.
He opened an art studio in the heart of Florence in 2000.
Alfonso specializes in high quality portraits on a commission basis, original works using various styles, trompe oeil, fresco and copies of the great Masters.
